Joie Puckett is beginning her second year at the University of Arkansas working with the future leaders of the world – university students. She is certified to teach elementary education in the state of Tennessee at Tennessee Tech University. This is where Joie became involved with Chi Alpha and found God's calling. When she walks into the room, the energy level jumps by 50%. She is passionate about everything she does and has that uncanny ability to grip the attention of the audience with her message and life story. Forgiveness, bitterness, injustice and hurt are all part of her young life experience. But the joy of the Lord simply bubbles to life as she shares of the amazing Grace of her God (makes you want to know that kind of God too). One moment you are laughing and the next you are pondering, "If there is an all-power God why do such terrible things happen to good people?".
This blonde-haired little girl relates to people of every ethnic group. On any given day she can be seen talking to Razorback football players or Ladyback tennis players, engaging geeks or greeks in conversation, holding her own playing basketball at the student gym with guys or girls (don’t even let her spot you up behind the 3 arc) or just walking and praying in her on little world.
Joie Puckett is found being used of God in the altars and ministers with a prophetic edge in a world of abused, lonely and often ignored people. She walks and operates in the victory of God -- not as one who has been there, but as one who is currently there just one step ahead of where other may be telling them, “Yeap, God was with me during that step and He’ll be with you also". When she is not doing ministry related activities, she can be seen playing basketball, at Sonic, jogging, at Sonic, and (lately) canoeing, caving and water-tubing. And did I mention at Sonic?
